The third Sunday of every month is an antique market, with over 400 vendors, along the
Navigli canals. Last market, some Americans from my building and the US Consulate went to peruse.

We stopped for coffee along the way and later on panzerotti (a fried calzone) and visited on of the mom's favorite art galleries.

There were some retro mod pieces but most of the stands were ancient antiques. My favorites were the button stand (all sizes, shapes, and colors with unusual motifs), the vintage bags (over which I hovered and lusted), one of the picture frame stands (elaborate frames that I envisioned in glossy paint with contemporary prints, and a chandelier stand with gorgeous lighting I imagined "specifying" for a hotel.

"My kids", Gabe and Max, were
intrigued by this 3-D rendition of the apartments along the canals.

I thought it was funny that this guy was just casually leaning on the bull head's horns....hello, it's an antique, no touching!

Fine furs!

My mind switched into interior design mode and invented in my head a Bohemian, shaggy chic boutique hotel combining some of the antiques I came across.
I will definitely go back next month...it's only a 10 minute bike ride away!
