Back on U.S. Soil for Thanksgiving

Over Thanksgiving, I was able to go back to the U.S. for 10 days. I was so thankful to be able to be in familiar territory again and around people who I care so much about and who really know me. I was able to reconnect with many friends and pick up where we left off. It was so nice and comfortable! Amanda and Ben so graciously took me in while I was in Atlanta. First night out: TVS crew. Lots to celebrate...."Amy's 10 year anniversary for her 21st birthday"....
...and Amy and Katie's recent engagements. Yaaay!!!

Ladies night(s) with beach volleyball girls, "roomie" Lydia, and my Amanda.
A little Macy's shopping...
....my old stomping grounds...Hand and Hand with Block Lofts neighbors, beach volley girls...and Kendyl even made it up from Florida. I heart them:)
Then on to Grandmom's house in TN for a much needed family fix. My grandmother is an amazing woman....still rakes her leaves, stays up past me at night, has such a huge heart, and is a force to be reckoned with in the kitchen. A master at all southern favorites.....mmm!

My cousin Casey's wife, JoJo just had her second little girl, Madeline. This is Kaleigh sporting the hat I gave her from the Milan market.
Madeline is truly a wonderful baby....and ridiculously cute, of course. She gave me a maternal itch....just have to find my "Mr. Right" now.

As fortunate as I feel to have the opportunity to experience Italy for a year, I was so very grateful to be able to spend time with my loving family after 6 months of being a looong way from home.
