A Budding Romance

No budding romance with me, I'm talking about the "ladies man", Max. He brought up a conversation today that I thought was just too cute!
It went something like this:
Max: Can Sophia come over and play today? (Sophia is a 4 year old that lives two floors below us that we play with a good bit)
Gabe: Noooo (and leaves the room)
Me: Sure, she can just play with you, Max.
Max: She always asks me where Gabe is when we're playing together and tells me she's going to marry him. It's always the same secret (rolls his eyes). Actually, sometimes she pretends to tell other secrets but it's like in the cartoons where she just whispers "aghgdjkjagaogj".
Me: Oh, I thought she wanted to marry you?
Max: Well, we probably will get married because she's 4 and I'm 5. When I'm 6, she'll be 5.
Me: I see, since your ages are so close together, you might get married one day? (I smile at such simplified logic) So how old will she be when you are 20? (trying to fit in some practice with numbers)
Max: 19
Me: What about when you're 30?
Max: 20 (we were practicing counting by tens yesterday so I understand his confusion). When I get older I'll probably need to text her and call her and talk to her on the computer.
Me: She would actually be 29 when you are 30. Do you mean email her on the computer?
Max: No, talk to her like you and Josh do on the computer.
Me: Ah, on Skype. Yes!
He grinned and walked out of the room.
He already knows the importance of communication and keeping in touch, he's off to a great start! Way to go Max!
Sophia wearing her "married glove" as she calls it. When she dons this glove, she declares who she will marry. I thought it was hilarious that she wore it to the park the same week Michael Jackson passed.....almost like she was paying tribute.
Sophia and Max walking hand in hand (on purpose!)
